ATTENTION PRODUCERS

The 2008 Farm Bill created a new disaster program called the Supplemental Revenue Assistance Program (SURE). To be eligible for future disaster programs, producers must purchase at least the CAT level of multi-peril crop insurance on all insurable crops or NAP coverage (available through FSA) on all uninsurable crops that contribute a minimum of 10% of the  total crop value of your operation.  You must carry insurance on all crops of economic significance (10% or greater of the total value) to be eligible for a disaster payment on any crop

If you have acres not previously insured and believe they may need to be insured to meet the SURE requirements, please contact your local United FCS office.  Our FCS insurance professionals will be happy to discuss your insurance options.
