DATE OF ISSUE: July 16, 2010 POSITION/S: Sr. Financial Services Officer HIRING RANGE: Grade 10-13 (grade and title based on candidate's experience) LOCATION: United FCS - Litchfield Office Willmar/Litchfield Region SUPERVISOR: Regional Vice President MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: This position is responsible for developing new and existing business relationships with agricultural producers to maximize long-term profitability and growth for the association. This position is required to combine agricultural and business knowledge with an in-depth understanding of each customer's current financial position in order to provide innovative and workable alternatives to meet the financial services needs of the customer. The incumbent is responsible for the marketing of all the financial services offered by the association, including portfolio management, in accordance with established policies and procedures. Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, agricultural economics, finance, or a closely related field required along with five to ten years ag lending and sales experience. Must possess basic understanding of credit principles; excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to communicate FCS "value added" business and farming concepts to attract and maintain a positive customer base; basic knowledge about the agriculture served in the assigned territory; excellent negotiating, influencing, consulting, and selling skills; and a commitment to a team working environment that strives to achieve excellent customer service. Prefer for candidate to be actively involved in the marketplace served by the Litchfield region.
