Multi-Peril Crop Insurance

Your farming operation is your livelihood and crop insurance is a vital risk management tool. It is important to carry the type and level of coverage that protects your financial investment by minimizing risk and maximizing profits. No one knows what tomorrow’s weather will bring, so manage the risk by visiting one of our crop insurance experts by March 15th at your local United FCS office.

There are several crop insurance policies that protect your crop investment and provide funds to replace lost income when crop yields do not attain a specific level due to many different perils. Coverage is available at a number of different levels, allowing you to tailor the policy to fit your needs.

Crop Hail Insurance

No one knows what the weather holds in store, but having insurance certainly helps to manage the risks that producers face everyday.

Life and Disability Insurance

Group Term Life and Group Term Life & Disability Insurance provide an initial amount of life insurance. This coverage protects your family and farm business from the financial burden of your loan in the event of premature death or disability. Premiums can be locked in for 5, 10, 15, 20 or 30 years.

Livestock Risk Protection and Livestock Gross Margin

Livestock Risk Protection & Livestock Gross Margin

Livestock insurance is a relative newcomer to the many risk management tools producers have available. Livestock Risk Protection (LRP) and Livestock Gross Margin (LGM) offer coverage to insure against declining market prices for the period selected. LRP is available for fed and feeder (including dairy) cattle, swine and sheep at a variety of levels and terms. LGM incorporates the costs of feed into the insurance plan and provides protection of the gross margin between the value of the insured animal and the costs of feed. LGM is available for swine, cattle and dairy cattle.
